Beth goes to visit her older sister who lives in another city. The way to Los Angeles turns out to be not close and so exhausting that the woman only dreams of getting to Ellie's home as soon as possible. She settled with her three children in a small apartment in one of the poor areas and brings them up on her own. The situation is not conducive to hospitality, but they have not seen each other for so long that modesty and shyness recede into the background. The warm atmosphere is destroyed after Ellie's rash act.
Finding a suspicious book in the bowels of the building, she accidentally summons ancient dangerous demons into her life. They feed on flesh and try to eat their creator first. Otherworldly enemies enter the world to attack and kill. They are ruthless and constantly hungry. The sisters are in mortal danger. To survive, they need to unite and fight. Creatures with bodies can be killed. But detecting a vulnerability in a real machine is not so easy. Sinister and relentless, they are advancing, and all that remains is to fight.
